Transformed from a magnificent 1928 neo-classical landmark that was once home to the General Post Office, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore with its inspiring legacy and monumental Palladian architecture emanates a timeless grandeur while offering contemporary luxury and Asian hospitality to business and leisure travellers. Each of the 400 rooms and suites has been exquisitely designed by world-renowned architects Hirsch Bedner & Associates and furnished to provide guests the ultimate in opulence.
On 7 December 2015, the National Heritage Board (NHB) gazetted the former Fullerton Building (today known as The Fullerton Hotel) as Singapore’s 71st National Monument, concluding a series of gazettes in celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee. This grand Neoclassical building situated at the mouth of the Singapore River was once Singapore’s General Post Office, and housed several government departments, where some of Singapore’s pioneer leaders began their careers. It has also been witness to several historic events during the Japanese Occupation and the post-war period.
